Position as postdoctoral research fellow available at the Department of Biosciences and in the research group of Associate Professor Marianne Fyhn at Center for Integrated Neuroplasticity (CINPLA).
The fellowship period is three years. Within the framework of the position duties may be assigned. Starting date no later than 1 October 2016. No one can be appointed for more than one specified period at the same institution.
The aim of the present project is to identify cell-specific and molecular contributions to learning and memory processing. The effects of targeted genetic perturbations on neural circuit function will be directly assessed using in vivo two-photon laser scanning microscopy (2PLSM) in combination with genetically encoded fluorophores. The candidate will establish new behavioral paradigms in combination in vivo 2PSLM, and closely collaborate with investigators in computational neuroscience to develop computational models of the underlying neural circuitry.
