Junior University is designed to help widen participation amongst 14-15 year-olds in schools that receive a higher than average amount of pupil premium funding, before they make up their minds about their future path.
While university isn’t for everyone, we want to ensure young people make decisions based on the full spectrum of options out there.
Working side-by-side with undergraduate mentors on a joint academic project, the programme will offer young people a real flavour of what degree studies and uni life are all about.
As well as helping students develop new knowledge, skills and confidence (and have fun along the way!) we hope to enable students to make more informed choices later on.

6. Schiller International University
Schiller International University is a true international university, with campuses in the US and Europe. The main campus is actually in Florida, but the first and largest campus is in Heidelberg, Germany and originally began as a study abroad program in Germany for Americans.
Germany tends to be a very inexpensive country to study abroad in, as overseas students pay the same tuition fees as local students, and many universities do not charge any tuition fees at all.
It now serves students from over 100 countries. Many study abroad programs utilize the university because it is accredited in the United States and based on the American system of education. All classes on all campuses are taught in English. The programs on offer are generally more career-based, including two-year and four-year programs.
Germany is one of the most popular countries for study abroad, and with good reason. In fact, it has been cited as one of the most supportive countries for international students. Scholarships vs. grants[edit]
The term '"scholarship"' is sometimes used to describe any financial aid given to a student that does not have to be repaid. However, more precisely, and universally among college financial aid offices in the United States, scholarships and grants are quite different.
A scholarship is given to a student because of a reason: the student has qualified for or won it by academic, artistic or athletic ability, or by agreeing to follow a particular career, or has some special ethnic or other characteristic. Scholarships are not given for financial need alone. In contrast, a grant is an entitlement: approval is automatic if the students meet qualifications, based on financial need.

There are hundreds, thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of individual scholarships sponsored by foundations, corporations, individuals, and other organizations. Some of these scholarships are local scholarships provided by individuals or organizations in a student’s own “backyard.” Some of these scholarships may be provided by national, widely recognized corporations or organizations. Architect Education
In all states, earning a professional degree in architecture is typically the first step to becoming an architect. Most architects earn their professional degree through a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree program, intended for students with no previous architectural training. Getting into medical school
Given the prestige associated with the medical professions, and the extremely challenging nature of most medical careers, it’s unsurprising that getting into medical school is extremely competitive. In order to gain a place at a top medical school, it’s necessary to demonstrate exceptional grades in science subjects (especially chemistry and biology), as well as showing evidence of commitment to the field. This will usually mean gaining work experience, perhaps at a local healthcare center, private consultancy or another type of care facility such as an elderly care home.
If you have managed to gain the grades and the work experience necessary to secure a place on a medical course, then the chances are you’re no stranger to hard work. Despite this, you’ll need to be prepared for even more challenges, both during your studies and in the years ahead. This is a profession that can demand a lot both intellectually and emotionally, with an intensive and time-consuming workload.
What to expect from a medical degree
As well as allowing you to specialize in a particular division of medicine, medical degrees also provide students with the practical skills needed for specialized hands-on tasks (from taking a blood sample to complex surgical procedures), and the ‘people skills’ needed for interaction with patients and relatives.
